This is one of the weird colors of the dichroic palette. Before it is annealed it looks purple in the sheet, but it looks bright pink shifting to green when this color has been annealed. It is common for dichroic colors to shift down a color in the spectrum when the dichroic glass is heated for the first time.
Working with dichroic on clear gives you the ability to apply dichroic to your bead and have the clear glass it is on become the encasement, thus protecting the dichroic crystals. The dichroic crystals should be applied facing the bead surface and away from the direct flame. |
